Who we are

About us

Gothenburg Tech Week was founded in 2015 and is designed with intention. We create high-quality events where the right people meet, the conversations are relevant and every session delivers real value. We are not trying to create the biggest events. Our focus is on creating the most intentional ones.

Where it all began

We had a hunch that Gothenburg’s tech scene deserved its own stage. So we built one.

2015

Getting Gothenburg to make things

Getting Gothenburg to make things We took over bars, offices, universities and workshops across the city, 20+ events.

2016

New look, new momentum

We showed up with a fresh brand and even more energy. 29 events, more collaborators, more formats, and a growing sense that something real was taking shape.

2017

Biggest one yet

30+ events made this our largest year so far. The format was working, the community was showing up, and we were just getting started.

2018

The flywheel keeps turning

More growth, deeper conversations, stronger roots. The ecosystem was becoming something you could feel.

2019

Investors enter the room

The world paused, we pivoted. We launched a dedicated forum for startups and investors, brought in more partners than ever, and proved that the right conversations don’t need a full calendar to matter.

2020

Sustainability as north star

We gave the year a theme and meant it: tech with purpose. Gothenburg’s industrial backbone met the demands of the decade ahead.

Destination Future

Three thematic days, one clear direction. We built a programme with real architecture, greener innovation, deep tech, and founders meeting capital.

A new name for a bigger story

We rebranded and set our sights on the Nordics. Tech Blueprint became the arena for applied technology, and our ambitions stopped stopping at city limits.

2025

The year we transform

Community platform launches. Three flagship events. A three-year plan backed by VGR. We’re moving from festival to platform, and building something that lasts.

Our approach

Where Technology Meets Real-World Application

Gothenburg Tech Week brings together startups, industry, academia, investors and the public sector to work on real challenges and explore how new technologies can be applied in practice. Through shared cases, open dialogue and cross-sector collaboration, ideas are tested, partnerships are formed and innovation moves closer to real impact.

How we design

Curated Conversations and Intentional Design

Each panel, session and format is designed to deliver relevant insights, practical learning and engaging conversations. Working closely with speakers and partners, events are shaped to create fresh perspectives and real value, while curated settings and thoughtful networking help build meaningful connections that last beyond the events.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Inclusion is a core part of how we design Gothenburg Tech Week. We actively work towards a balanced 50/50 gender representation across speakers and participants, while striving for diversity in perspectives, backgrounds and experiences. We believe stronger ecosystems are built when more voices are represented.

Built Together With the Ecosystem

Gothenburg Tech Week is created together with partners, community organisations, volunteers and participants who share the ambition to strengthen the Nordic tech ecosystem.
